After BBQing at my parents' on the 4th of July, I spent the weekend on the Coast with Ashley and Jess. We stayed at Ashley's family condo in Gearhart. A really quaint little town! Very relaxing time. We hooked up with Anne, Ron, Colin and Nathan who were already there for the holiday. We also randomly bumped into an old friend, Jeff Young, in the middle of a cross walk!
Ashley brought some champagne and opened it with a knife! I don't know what that's called, but it's pretty cool.
We sat at the beach, drank our champagne and pondered life. It was delightful! The evening ended with a viewing of "The Goonies", appropriate since it was filmed in Astoria and Cannon Beach!
This week, Rob took the DM's and their spouses to Eugene and King Estate Winery. What a beautiful place. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere, but there are some outstanding views. And the winery itself is stunning.
We had a lovely dinner. I enjoyed their Domaine Pinot Gris. Quite nice on a Summer evening.
